Shipping

Domestic orders can take up to 5-6 business days, (or longer depending on the circumstances).

International orders can take up to 5-15 business days, (or longer depending on the circumstances).

If you’d rather come and collect your order please get in touch to arrange this, shipping costs can be refunded accordingly if this is organised.

I will always aim to have things sent out as quickly as possible but occasionally, due to events/timings/number of orders, it may take a few days before parcels are shipped out. Please me patient, this business is mostly run solely by me, save from some occasional help, I’m not a large business with a team of people, every order is packaged, labeled and sent off myself. If for any reason there are delays in sending work out from the studio I’ll be in touch.

When an item is sent from my studio to be shipped abroad, it is in the jurisdiction of the receiving country’s postage service and customs. If for whatever reason something goes missing, please get in touch with myself and the postage companies. I’ll always try my best to help the situation but occasionally things can go astray, in which case please get in touch and we can arrange a refund or for another order to be sent out. This happens very rarely and I deal with any instances of breakage/missing items on a case by case basis.

Orders shipped outside of the UK are shipped DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid). Customs and import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges, and cannot tell you what the cost might be, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country. It might be a good idea to contact your local customs office for current charges before you order, so you are not surprised by charges you were not expecting. The customer must take full liability for any parcels returned to us due to unpaid customs charges. Postal charges, return shipment costs, customs charges and handling fees will all be deductible from any refund due.

If you provide the wrong shipping details and fail to identify the error until after the parcel has been shipped out, then the lost parcel is your responsibility. Occasionally, an incorrect address can be rectified, and I will of course always try to resolve the situation, but in the case it is lost, I will not offer a refund if the package goes missing.

Returns and Refunds

Returns are only accepted if I accidentally ship out the wrong items, (I’m only human, mistakes can happen), if this does occur, please get in touch and I’ll rectify the order. If the pots have been used I cannot refund them or exchange due to their crackled nature.

If your parcel hasn’t arrived a week after dispatch please get in touch with me immediately so I can attempt to fix or find the parcel as after 10 days there’s an extraordinarily low chance I’ll be able to find it or correct the situation. I usually ship about 200-250 parcels and cannot track each one individually and check, and double check, that it has arrived correctly. I do not offer full refunds, (partial refund is dependant on situation), if you get in touch more than a month after the original dispatch date as because it’s so late there’s virtually nothing I can do as the couriers normally don’t refund shipping or insurance a month or more after dispatch.

Caring for pots

Crackle glazed pieces will inherently stain overtime, my work is also highly fired stoneware that contains a lot of iron (for the most part), meaning they are more susceptible to chipping compared to mass produced wares. They are of course objects I’d expect to see everyday use, but they’re artisan and therefore require more care than normal mass produced ceramics.

Please be careful with your pots, wash by hand if possible and refrain from using any strongly staining foods/liquids with them. It helps to wash them quickly after use and if you can don’t leave liquid in them overnight or for long periods of time. For this same reason I wouldn’t recommend using a microwave or dish washer, I always hand wash a majority of my handmade ceramics as it simply isn’t as durable as factory made wares. To reiterate, they can go in the dishwasher or microwave but it’s best if they aren’t. Washing handmade pots by hand is always the best option.

Some pieces may appear differently from that pictured if there’s a quantity option available on that specific item. All of my pots are handmade and therefore subtle differences are expected from item to item. On pots listed without a quantity option it should appear as pictured.

Shop updates

My online shop is usually restocked in large batches from time to time. I don’t follow any specific timelines and announcements for when they’ll go live can be found on my Instagram page or by signing up to my newsletter. If you’d like a more concrete answer please get in touch.

I don’t sell pots outside of these allocated shop restocks, and if you arrange a visit to my pottery I can’t guarantee work will be available to purchase, as often I’m saving pots for future restocks or exhibitions.
